LAGOS TO HOST PAMRO CONFERENCE - Ralph Anyacho, rpa

The Pan African Media Research Organisation (PAMRO) annual conference will hold in Lagos next year. The Organisation rose from its 18th Annual Conference in Cape Town, South Africa recently, confirming Lagos as host city of the 19th edition of the annual conference.

In a chat with Mr. Joe Otim, President of the Media Research Organisation, on the decision to grant the hosting right to Lagos, he remarked that Nigeria is a major stakeholder and contributor to PAMRO and "We have confidence in Nigeria's capacity to host Africa, having demonstrated that capacity when the country last hosted the Conference in 2008".

A Nigerian on the board of PAMRO, Mr. Jonadab Egbowon expressed delight at the hosting right awarded to Nigeria adding that the key to successful hosting laid in early planning. He stated that a local Organizing Committee would be put in place to commence planning immediately.

Pan African Media Research Organization (PAMRO) is a private sector driven organization. Its mission is to create uniform research infrastructure for African countries; apply the same measuring and target marketing methods in order that the results of different markets and regions of the continent can be compared for validity; and create knowledge by stimulating audience based studies.
